Exciting improvements coming to Lily Lake
Construction will take place over the next 3 months to get ready for the 23-24 school year. Here is a list of the updates:
- New metal roofing replacing the shingled peaks over both the gym and media center.
- Added concrete to the carpool sidewalk to widen the space for safety purposes
- Bathroom remodel for 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade
- Remodeling/updating 3 classroom spaces
- New equipment for a portion of the playground area (funded by the Lily Lake PTO)
- New rubberized surface underneath the entire playground area replacing the wood chips
- Three new outdoor basketball goals on the playground
- New blacktop surface surrounding the whole playground area
We wanted to bring this to your attention now due to the fact that some of the metal roofing construction will be starting later this week over the top of the gym and will be happening during school hours. There will be chain linked safety fencing put up around the perimeter of the gym and construction workers will be on-site for the remaining four weeks of school. We are working with district level staff to take all the needed safety measures while the work is being done.
