There are a lot of big issues facing our schools and many differing opinions as to the best way to resolve them. The school board is currently exploring different ways for students, families, staff and residents to engage with board members on important topics and issues. The board wants your input as it considers changes to open forums and seeks new ideas for engagement.

Participate in the School Board Engagement Challenge

We are using a new tool called Crowdicity, which allows you to respond to questions - known as challenges - and provide your feedback to school district leaders. In a few simple steps you’ll be able to share your ideas, rate other people’s ideas, and even respond to other people within the challenge. All of the feedback gathered through the challenge will be used to help the school board improve the ways it involves the community in its decision making.

The school board engagement challenge will remain open through the end of the day on Sunday, Oct. 10. During that time you are encouraged to visit the challenge multiple times to fully engage in the discussion, respond to ideas from others and discover how your ideas compare.

To participate in the Crowdicity platform:

First, you must register as a user on the Stillwater Crowdicity website.

  • Registration requires a valid email address
  • Create a user name (you are encouraged to use your first and last name)
  • Create your own password
  • Confirm your password
  • Agree to the terms of use
  • Click "register"
  • NOTE: like other online registrations, you will receive a confirmation email to confirm that you are indeed registering on the platform and not spam.

Once your registration is confirmed, choose (one of) the School Board Engagement Challenge(s) and select "post an idea" to share your thoughts and comments in answer to the challenge question

After you post your idea, take a moment to rate and comment on the ideas of others.

In contrast to a survey, this is a live, ongoing engagement. As such you are encouraged to visit the challenge multiple times during the challenge window to vote on ideas, respond to the comments of other Stillwater students, staff, families and residents. To be notified of new ideas or comments, click the “subscribe” button at the top of the page.
